TRUE LOVE LEADS TO REPENTANCE

In the past God overlooked such ignorance but now He commands all people everywhere to repent as its written in the book of Acts(Acts17:30). In Acts2:14 we read peter's first sermon to a crowd of unbelievers after the death burial and resurrection of Jesus. He said "Therefore let all Israel be assured of this:God has made Jesus whom you crucified both Lorf and Christ I'll Acts2:36 The word that peter spoke moved deeply in the hearts of the crowd and they said, Brothers (peter and other apostles) what shall we do?" When they asked the questino it revealed that they Believed the message.There new belief called for action. Peter told them to repent and be baptized in the name of jesus christ so that there sins may be forgiven and they will recieve the gift of the Holy spirit. Relationally Jesus said we cant serve two masters. When we repent we are saying that it is only Jesus. In God's eyes we are either serving Him or the devil. The devil wants us to serve him and destroy our relationship with God. 11Timothy2:25-26 Those who oppose him he must gently instruct in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth and that they will Come to their senses and edcape from the trap of the devil Who has taken them captive to do his will. Romans2:4 Dont you see how wonderfully kind,tolerant and patient God is with you?Does this mean nothing to you? Cant you see that his kindness is intended to turn you from your sin? Acts3:19 Repent then and turn to God so that your sins may be wiped out that times of reftrshing may come from the Lord. Romans10:9-10 If you confess with your mouth Jessus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the death you will be saved. For its with your heart that you believe and are justified and its with your mouth that you confess and are saved. Confession is speaking of my love for Jesus its my faith in action.

HOW TO RESTORE OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD

A new relationship with God begins with faith in Him. John3:16 For so God loved the world that He gave His one and only son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. Romans4:21 Faith in God is being fully persuaded that God has power to do what He has promised. Romans3:27 Then what can we boast about doing to earn our salvation?Nothing at all.why?Because our acquittal is not based on our good deeds;it is based on whatChrist has done and our faith in Him. BIBLICAL FAITH Believing that God became man in jesus that he died for our sins was buried and was raised from the grave. 1corinthians15;3-4 For what I recieved I passed on to you as first importance;that christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures that he was buried and raised on the thrid day according to the Scriptures. b Biblical faith requires interllectuai belif and our response. james2;17 In the same way faith by itself if is not accompaned by actions is dead. HOPE LEADS TO FAITH AND LOVE Clossians1;5 The faith and love that springs from hope. FAITH LEADS TO LOVING GOD 1Corinthians13;2b If I have faith that can move mountains but i have no love iam nothing. WE NEED TO BE ROOTED IN LOVE Ephesians3;16-17 I Pray that christ may dwell in your hearts through faith and I Pray that you being rooted and established in love.
